SUMMARY: The knowledgeable people should think of the one thousand five
hundred and twenty-six (1526) forms of Narayana existing in four types of
bodies, right from the grass to Lord Brahma. He will bless those meditating the
names such as Sun’s rays, Sun, Aditya every day with very good wealth of
health.
Sri Vyasaru explains this aspect in Vishnurahasya:
ShabdAdyA viShayAha pancha tatrAviShTAstu dEvatAha|
BahuDhA jAyamAnO(s)ham tatrApi prAvisham kramAt|

The names Ghruni (Sun’s rays), Sun
(Surya) and Aditya are mentioned in the Sun Chant (Surya Mantra) and chanting
this hymn ensures health, rain, good harvest and other riches, as stated in the
concluding part of the chant while describing the benefits. However, Sri Hari
exists in the Sun and bestows all the benefits that are believed to accrue to
those who chant this hymn. Aitareya Bhashya explains:
“NArAyaNam SUryagatO gAyatryOpAsakO
hi saha”|
“नारायणं सूर्यगतॊ गायत्र्यॊपासकॊ हि
सः”।
Sri Krishna says in Gita: “YadAdityagatam
tEjO tattEjO vidDhi mAmakam”
श्रिकृश्ण, गीता: “यदादित्यगतं तॆजॊ तत्तॆजॊ विद्धि मामकम्”
