SUMMARY: Sri Madhwacharyaru obtained from Lord Sri Narayana (Sri Vedavyasaru) the holy idols of stone comprising Sri Narayana, who is unwelcome among sinners, and ever-accompanying Goddess Lakshmi.

It is mentioned in Bhavaprakashika that Sri Madhwaru did not want to depart from Sri Narayana. Therefore, Sri Vedavyasaru gave him the idol by stating: “Ganga will always be present in the water with which you take bath and I will be present in this idol too.”

These are the stone images known as VyasamuShTi and there are eight such stone idols, as mentioned in Vayupurana. This information is cited by Sri Chalari Sheshacharyaru.

There is little suspicion about the fact that the VyasamuShTi was given by Sri Vedavyasaru. However, some people contend that Sri Vedavyasaru isn’t an incarnation of Sri Narayana but a common human being with certain mystic tricks. That is why “Sri NarAyaNataha” has been used and it symbolically confirms that Sri Vedavyasaru is an incarnation of Sri Narayana. This explanation has once again been asserted by Sri Chalari Sheshacharyaru.

SUMMARY: The shapes of the husband of Indira, Lord Sri Hari, are intertwined like one shape in another shape and another shape within that shape. There is no worry in imagining these shapes and forms of Lord Hari whimsically. There can be least doubt or suspicion that like if the sky is imagined as a tent house and it is dipped in the sea, the water drops spread in each and every point of each and every single fabric or thread, Lord Sri Hari has occupied and is living in every animate beings and inanimate objects.

It is a common factor that when a cloth is immersed in water, every single thread gets wet and the water pervades every single spot in each and every thread. Similarly, Sri Hari is in the tiniest of dust particle as much as he is in any gigantic or sprawling object or location. Sri Hari exists in some form or the other in the subtlest of dust.

This Omnipresence has been demonstrated and displayed emphatically, clearly and beyond an iota of suspicion by Lord Krishna when he revealed his Vishwarupa to Arjuna.

SRI #RAMACHARITRYA #MANJARI

BrahmAdyaihi stUyamAnaha/ब्रह्माद्यैः स्तूयमानः

Got praised by Brahma and others

Along with the deities, Lord Brahma saw Srirama and they drowned in the ocean of mirth. If Seetha Devi were to be so bewildered by the glory of Srirama, what else can be said of the state of bewilderment of Lord Brahma? Lord Brahma recalled the great deeds that Srirama had accomplished during his stay on earth:

“Oh Lord, your father Dasharatha breathed his last on the sixth day from the day you departed to the forest, remembering you every moment. Since he was remembering you till his death, I had placed in a special and deserving position. When Dasharatha came to see you in Lanka, you had ordered me to provide a superior position to your father and I have done so.”

“Wives of Dasharatha did not discard their corporal body at the time of death. After you returned from Lanka, they were enjoying your pomp, glory and wealth for three thousand years before ending their earthly life. Except Kaikeyi, your other mothers were given the same world as Dasharatha, as soon as they died. Their death occurred about ten thousand years ago from now. All those mothers are at present living happily with Dasharatha.”

“By nature, Kaikeyi is pure hearted and your devotee from ancient times. She gave birth to Bharata on the strength of her devotion to Lord Vishnu. Such a good soul cannot commit bad things. A female demon named Nikruti entered her body and she was prompted by Manthare to snatch the throne from you. Therefore, Kaikeyi is not to be blamed for what she did and she certainly does not deserve any punishment. She deserves good end and good world. She could not be treated on a par with your other mothers because what she did, whether by influence or motivation, cannot go unpunished. It is for these reasons and in view of the assessment of the circumstance under which she committed those sins that she could not be immediately provided with the same world as Dasharatha. She was unhappy and worried even in the heavens for she was not united with Dasharatha immediately after death like Kausalya and Sumitra. This agony and pain was the result of the sins she had committed. She will reunite with Kausalya and Sumitra after undergoing the punishment.”

“I have dumped the Suranaka Demons into eternal hell for trying to separate you from Seetha Devi. A majority of demons killed by you and Hanumantha have been consigned to hell. Some of the demons, who could not complete their desired hatred towards you, would be sent to hell after they complete it during your incarnation as Krishna. Even then, demons like Manimatha would not be able to complete their duties during the Dwapara Yuga. They will be born during the initial period of Kali Yuga, the fourth leg of this Vaivasvata Manvantara and the final phase of the twenty-eighth Maha Yuga, and spread the false information among human beings that the universe created by you is ‘false’. They will indulge in abusing you and commit sins. I will push them into the hell after they commit those sins.”

“Oh Lord, the human beings, the donkeys, ants and other animals, except deities, who have accompanied you to this world, have completed their phases of knowledge accumulation, devotion and control over desires. They want to be serving your feet and enjoy the bliss. Please order the world you want assign them to. Please order me, Indra and others as to what we should do hereafter.”

Srirama replied: “Dear Brahma, you are aware of the world different beings and souls deserve. You are better accomplished to understand what I want you to do, compared all others. You can go ahead with your plans and designs.”

Lord Brahma saluted Srirama and executed the plans in accordance with the will of Srirama.

SUMMARY: In another place, robbers saw Sri Madhwacharyaru and his pupils and said: “These are all groups of sculptures, not human beings”. With that illusion, they went away without attacking Sri Madhwaru and his pupils. Later, they were astonished and saluted them.

Here, Sri Madhwaru appeared like stone sculptures for sometime and as human beings, later. Surprised by this mysterious act, the robbers saluted Sri Madhwaru and went away.

It is mentioned in Bhava Prakashika:

In this incident, Sri Madhwaru converted the thieves into good civilians with his mystic power. In the case of all these three incidents, it must be perceived that Sri Madhwaru was passing through a region that was notorious for highway robbery, murder and so on. The region is likened to the Chambal Valley by some scholars.

SUMMARY: When the knowledgeable Sri Madhwaru was passing through Himalayan range, he killed a demon, who had come there in the guisem of tiger, with a punch, when the tiger tried to attack Satyatirthau.

A demon, who was convinced that none could confront Sri Madhwaru, attacked Satya Tirtharu, who was carrying the box of idols meant for worship and was a few steps ahead of Sri Madhwaru, in the guise of a Tiger. Sri Madhwaru killed him with a light punch of his fist. This was another evidence to prove that Sri Madhwaru is an incarnation of Lord Vayu. This has been elaborated in Bhava Prakashike:

Anyatra cha – Madhwam durviShaham matvA dEvam sangruhya chAgrataha|

                        AayAntam satyatrirThAryam jiGhAmsurvyAGhra aapatat||

In this incident too, Sri Madhwaru displayed extraordinary, superhuman and sharp reaction, swiftness, strength, courage and sensitiveness.

Symbolically, Sri Madhwaru has, through this incident, assured the righteous that he would always be alert and eager to protect them from all sorts of trouble, pain and attack.
