SUMMARY:
Sri Madhwacharyaru obtained from Lord Sri Narayana (Sri Vedavyasaru) the holy
idols of stone comprising Sri Narayana, who is unwelcome among sinners, and
ever-accompanying Goddess Lakshmi.
It
is mentioned in Bhavaprakashika that Sri Madhwaru did not want to depart from
Sri Narayana. Therefore, Sri Vedavyasaru gave him the idol by stating: “Ganga
will always be present in the water with which you take bath and I will be
present in this idol too.”

There
is little suspicion about the fact that the VyasamuShTi was given by Sri
Vedavyasaru. However, some people contend that Sri Vedavyasaru isn’t an
incarnation of Sri Narayana but a common human being with certain mystic tricks.
That is why “Sri NarAyaNataha” has been used and it symbolically confirms that
Sri Vedavyasaru is an incarnation of Sri Narayana. This explanation has once
again been asserted by Sri Chalari Sheshacharyaru.
