SUMMARY:
Lord Vayu won against all other deities with his speed; he drank the Somarasa earlier
than other deities on all three occasions; how can the sacrifice performed by Sri
Madhwaru, who is an incarnation of Lord Vayu, be appropriately described?
In
this stanza, Sri Narayana Panditacharyaru has described the glory of the
spectacle of the sacrifice that Sri Madhwaru got performed by the son of his
Guru in cryptic manner. When Lord Vayu, who is equal to Lord Brahma and next
only to Goddess Lakshmi in knowing the qualities of Lord Vishnu, organizes the
performance of a sacrifice, there can be no room for shortcomings, errors or
flaw. There can be least doubt about the offerings reaching the target deities
and Lord Vishnu.
The
details of Lord Vayu drinking the Somarasa before other deities could drink it
on all the three occasions has been vividly described in the Aitareya Brahmana
and the same has been mentioned in Bhava Prakashika (refer page 337,
Sumadhwavijaya compiled by Dr. Vyasanakere Prabhanjanacharyaru).

Once,
the deities were stuck in a dilemma as to who among them should drink the
Somarasa first and finally decided that the super most deity among them should
be given the first opportunity. Then Lord Vayu defeated all other deities in
speed for three times and therefore drank the Somarasa first on all the three
occasions. Being an incarnation of such supreme Lord Vayu, Sri Madhwaru is
unmatched and none can rise a finger at the sacrifice performed under his
guidance and direction.

SUMMARY:
Sri Madhwacharyaru, who propounded the metaphysical elements underlying the
philosophy and culture, got such acts as sacrifices performed as a part of
culture and tradition, a mandatory means of impressing upon Lord Vishnu, reminiscent
of listening and studying holy texts to acquire the knowledge that would pave
the way for salvation.
The
acquisition of Brahma JnAna is essential and a prelude to attainment of
salvation. Similarly, apart from regular and routine worshipping of Lord
Vishnu, meditation and chanting of hymns etc., performance of sacrifices
through good priests at regular intervals is essential to attain salvation.
Each and every act is interconnected and inter-related. All the spiritual acts,
including worship, salutation, oblations, sacrifices etc., virtually connected
and the common factor is always submission to Lord Vishnu, say sages, saints,
Rishis, Munis and scholars.
