SUMMARY:
Beloved of Lakshmi, Sri Hari wears five hundred and thirteen forms in statues
and idols. Like the Fire God exists in dried cowdung tablets, Sri Hari exists
in all statues and idols in their own shapes and forms and appears to the
worshippers in the shapes and forms they prefer to see Him.
Thus,
Sri Hari exists in all forms. Depending on one’s imagination, desire and
aspiration, he appears to the devotee in his or her own imaginary form.
However, it is imperative that while offering prayer, worship or anything as
donation, one should imagine the form for which the offerings are made. In
Sandhyavandana, there is a chant:
AkAshAt
patitam tOyam yaThAgachChati sAgaram sarva dEva namaskAraha KEshavam
pratigachChati|
Like
the water falling from the sky in the form of rains join the sea, the
salutations offered and submitted to any deity reaches Sri Keshava or Sri Hari.
