SUMMARY: Lord Sri Hari is himself the form of four types of juices that are present
in four types of meals or food that all the types of beings in the Brahmanda
consume; Sri Hari consumes whatever he relishes, serves it to the beings,
provides strength to their bodies, gives pleasure to the sensory organs and
bestows the happiness of seeing him to the deities who are in charge of
different food items.
The four types of food being
consumed by different beings comprise of BhakShya or pleasant items like
sweets, BhOjya, which the beings compulsorily consume, Lehya or paste and PEya
or liquid that can be drunk.
Lord Krishna tells this to Arjuna
in The Gita:

SUMMARY: Lord Hari from his form as Varaha (VarAh AvtAr) keeps roaming about with
deities who are in charge of different types of food items, wearing the form of
joy or bliss; the deities occupy the seventy-two thousand pulses that exist in
each and every being; for the body, which is like nest for every being, the
four juices are divided into sixteen types to provide nourishment to the
sixteen stains in the body.
The sixteen stains and seventy-two
thousand pulses have been described further in the Canto on Pulse, later.
Sri Vishnurahasya mentions about “ShODashakalA”
