SUMMARY: Oh goddess #Godavari, I have heard that whoever takes bath in your waters when Jupiter is in Leo secures special positive energy (Punya). But, I may not take bath when Jupiter is in Leo and ask you to drive away my sins and bestow upon me positive energy because, anyone taking bath in you at any time in life will certainly enjoy such benefits. Will anyone desire to have porridge or gruel in a marriage ceremony? I will seek higher benefits when you are in a pleasant mood. Please provide me with devotion to the feet of Sri Krishna and disinterest in family life and finally Moksha or Mukti or salvation in the world hereafter. You alone can provide me with these benefits as none else is capable of providing them, says Sri Vadirajaru in this stanza.

SUMMARY: May this Godavari River, who is called as Dhavalaganga at the point of her origin in the subtle Sarovar or Pond at the tip of Tryambaka Mountain, who gets called as Gangadwara in the midway and finally gets known as Kushavarta bless us with eternal happiness.
Impressed with the penance of Gauthama Muni, Lord Shiva sent Ganga from his head to originate at the tip of Tryambaka Mountain, where she appears in a small way as a pond and there she is known as Dhavalaganga. She later flows underground, without being noticed by the outside world. Subsequently, she appears at the bottom of Brahmagiri tower in the form of two ponds known as Varaha and Narasihma and these are popularly known as Gangadwara or the entrance of Ganga. Godavari again takes a secret route underground till
Kushavarta, where she is seen again. Gauthama Rishi controlled the flooding Godavari at Kushavartha with the Holy Grass or Darbha and sprinkled that water on the carcasses of the cow to bring it back to life. Kushaihi AavartyatE iti kushAvartA| Sri Vadirajaru visited all the three places and has described them.
