Sri Vasudeva provides opportunities/ಅವಕಾಶಪ್ರದ ಶ್ರೀ ವಾಸುದೇವ

85.       ವಾಸುದೇವನು ಒಳಹೊರಗೆ ಅವ-

                ಕಾಶ ಕೊಡುವ ನಭಸ್ಥನಾಗಿ ರ-

                ಮಾಸಮೇತ ವಿಹಾರ ಮಾಳ್ಪನು ಪಂಚರೂಪದಲಿ|

                ಆ ಸರೋರುಹಸಂಭವಾಭವ-

                ವಾಸವಾದ್ಯಮರಾದಿ ಚೇತನ-

                ರಾಶಿಯೊಳಗಿಹನೆಂದು ಅರಿದವನವನೆ ಕೋವಿದನು||9||

            VAsudEvanu voLahorage ava-

            kAsha koDuva naBhasThanAgi ra-

            mAsamEta vihAra mALpanu pancharUpadali|

            Aa sarOruhasamBhavABhava-

            vAsavAdyamarAdi chEtana-

            rAshiyoLagihanendu aridavanavane kOvidanu||9||

SUMMARY: Staying in the space(sky), Sri Hari, in his form as Vasudeva, provides opportunities, inside as well as outside. Along with Goddess Lakshmi, he moves around in five forms. Whoever understands that he exists in Brahma, Shiva, Indra and the entire animate world is the real scholar, philosopher and knowledgeable person.

As Sri Jagannatha Dasaru has used “RamAsamEta mALpanu” (does everything along with Rama Devi or Goddess Lakshmi), Sri Hari should always be remembered along with Goddess Lakshmi and her variant forms like Jaya and others.

Aitareyabhashya explains this attribute more clearly:

AvakAshapradO nityam VAsudEvO naBhaha sThitaha|

YEvam panchAtmakam ViShNum ya upAstE sadaiva tu||

AvakAshapradaha sO(s)pi swajAteenAm BhaviShyati|

BhOktA chApyAyakashchaiva tasya ViShsNOho prasAdataha||

BrahmEndrAdyAha swajAteeshapadayOgyA amuShya cha|

YOgyA upAsanasya syustavanyE jnAnamAtrakE||AitarEyaBhAShya 2/2/1)

ಅವಕಾಶಸ್ತದೋ ನಿತ್ಯಂ ವಾಸುದೇವೋ ನಭಃ ಸ್ಥಿತಃ|

ಏವಂ ಪಂಚಾತ್ಮಕಂ ವಿಷ್ಣುಂ ಯ ಉಪಾಸ್ತೇ ಸದೈವ ತು||

ಅವಕಾಶಪ್ರದಃ ಸೋsಪಿ ಸ್ವಜಾತೀನಾಂ ಭವಿಷ್ಯತಿ|

ಭೋಕ್ತಾ ಚಾಪ್ಯಾಯಕಶ್ಚೈವ ತಸ್ಯ ವಿಷ್ಣೋಃ ಪ್ರಸಾದತಃ||

ಬ್ರಹ್ಮೇಂದ್ರಾದ್ಯಾಃ ಸ್ವಜಾತೀಶಪದಯೋಗ್ಯಾ ಅಮುಷ್ಯ ಚ|

ಯೋಗ್ಯಾ ಉಪಾಸನಸ್ಯ ಸ್ಯುಸ್ತದನ್ಯೇ ಜ್ಞಾನಮಾತ್ರಕೇ||ಐತರೇಯಭಾಷ್ಯ 2/2/1||

ಅನ್ನಭಕ್ಷ್ಯಾದಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಹರಿಯ ವಾಸುದೇವಾದಿ ರೂಪಗಳು

86.         ವಾಸುದೇವನು ಅನ್ನದೊಳು ನಾ-

                ನಾಸುಭಕ್ಷದಿ ಸಂಕರುಷಣ ಕೃ-

‘               ತೀಶ ಪರಮಾನ್ನದೊಳು ಘೃತದೊಳಗಿಪ್ಪನಿರುದ್ಧ|

                ಆ ಸುಪರ್ಣಾಂಸಗನು ಸೂಪದಿ

                ವಾಸವಾನುಜ ಶಾಕದೊಳು ಮೂ-

                ಲೇಶ ನಾರಾಯಣನು ಸರ್ವತ್ರದಲಿ ನೆಲೆಸಿಹನು||10||

            VAsudEvanu annadoLu nA-

            nAsuBhakShadi sankaruShaNa kru-

            teesha paramAnnadoLu GhrutadoLagippanirudDha|

            A suparNAmsaganu sUpadi

            VAsavAnuja shAkadoLu mU-

            lEsha NArAyaNanu sarvatradali nelesihanu||10||

SUMMARY: Sri Hari manifests in rice in the form of Sri Vasudeva; he is in various sweets in the form of SankarShaNa; in the form of Krutipati Sri Pradyumna, he is in the sweet gel (Paramaanna); he is in the form of Aniruddha in Ghee; in the form of Garudavahana, rider of the golden eagle, he is in the Dal concentrate (Tovve – this is a compulsory item in the meals. It is prepared by merely baking the Tur Dal and a little bit of salt); in the heat of food items, Sri Hari manifests in the form of Upendra and thus the Originator (MUlEsha) of Universe, Sri Narayana, is omnipresent.
