SUMMARY: May Sri Prayagamadhava, the ocean of kindness,
always live in our hearts and may his name stay in our memory forever because,
remembering him even once is equal to having performed a holy sacrifice.
During the launch of creation, Lord Brahma is said to
have performed PrakruShTa (very solemn) Yaga in this place and that is how this
place came to be known as Prayaga, where “pra” refers to holy and Yaga means
sacrifice. This is mentioned in Skanda Purana. Sri Vadirajaru has therefore
named Sri #Madhava in this place as #Prayagamadhava and stated that remembering
Prayagamadhava is equal to having performed PrakruShTa or the Holy Sacrifice in
this place where Lord Brahma had performed the Yaga seeking the blessings of
Sri Madhava to carry on with the creation without obstacles. Sri Madhava at
Prayaga is popularly known as Sri Venee Madhava and Sri Vadiraja has called
this Lord as Sri Parayaga Madhava.
Sri Vadirajaru has mentioned that when he was staying in
Sri Sandhya Mutt at Prayaga, Sri Vedavyasa appeared in front and directed Sri
Vadirajaru to write “#Mahabharata LakShalankAra”.
Sri Vadirajaru describes #Ganga River in eight stanzas
and they will be narrated in the coming episodes.
