SUMMARY: May Sri Prayagamadhava, the ocean of kindness, always live in our hearts and may his name stay in our memory forever because, remembering him even once is equal to having performed a holy sacrifice.
During the launch of creation, Lord Brahma is said to have performed PrakruShTa (very solemn) Yaga in this place and that is how this place came to be known as Prayaga, where “pra” refers to holy and Yaga means sacrifice. This is mentioned in Skanda Purana. Sri Vadirajaru has therefore named Sri #Madhava in this place as #Prayagamadhava and stated that remembering Prayagamadhava is equal to having performed PrakruShTa or the Holy Sacrifice in this place where Lord Brahma had performed the Yaga seeking the blessings of Sri Madhava to carry on with the creation without obstacles. Sri Madhava at Prayaga is popularly known as Sri Venee Madhava and Sri Vadiraja has called this Lord as Sri Parayaga Madhava.
Sri Vadirajaru has mentioned that when he was staying in Sri Sandhya Mutt at Prayaga, Sri Vedavyasa appeared in front and directed Sri Vadirajaru to write “#Mahabharata LakShalankAra”.
Sri Vadirajaru describes #Ganga River in eight stanzas and they will be narrated in the coming episodes.

The zest of #Ravana/ರಾವಣನ ಚಾಪಲ್ಯ
It was past midnight when cool breeze with a pleasant fragrance started blowing across Lanka, aggravating the lust and crave in Ravana to romance with Vedavati in the guise of #Seetha Devi. The sensuousness in his wicked mind began burning Ravana so much that he quickly got up from the bed and like a blind person groping, he literally ran towards Ashokavana. Several charming women ran around him holding fans and umbrellas, lanterns and flags. Some of those women were semi-conscious owing to the influence of intoxicants and sleep. Most of them were unable to balance their steps or the body as they followed Ravana to Ashokavana.
Mystic Seetha noticed Ravana from a distance. Her face turned pale and her mien began trembling. She was wearing dusty sari. She tried to cover her stomach amidst the two thighs. She turned her back to Ravana as he entered Ashokavana.
Sensuous Ravana addressed mystic Seetha in a low, pleasant and cool voice: “Oh Seetha! I presume that you are none other than Rama Devi living in the naval of Lord Narayana. Oh charming star! Take a look at the astounding wealth I have and the radiant youth I possess. Being an ordinary human, how do you think Rama will ever be able to find you? Even if he happens to see you, how can he think of relieving you from my clutches? Discard Rama who is doing penance and be my beloved. By doing so, you will be the sole owner of whatever I own in this universe. If you become my wife, your father Janaka will be my father-in-law and I will honor him with more states and wealth.”
Seetha replied: “How the light of glow worm be compared with sunlight? Being the beloved wife of Rama, you can never dream of having me. Being a descendant of Pulastya dynasty, you have forgotten the basics of custom and tradition, culture and character. Longing for others’ wife is detrimental to all your welfare and wealth. I will pardon you if you surrender to Rama, who will also excuse you because he is an ocean of empathy and kindness. You are just withstanding the pain that Manmatha, the God of Love, is causing to you now. But, you will not be able to bear the pain when the sharp arrows of #Rama and #Lakshmana cut your body into pieces. There is no doubt that Rama will provide you with the eternal sleep. I will never be influenced by your words or inducements. Like the Lions kill greyhounds, golden eagle kills snakes, Rama will soon butcher you. I am capable of killing you just now. But, I do not have the permission of Rama to do so. Moreover, you should be killed by Rama alone.”
Ravana lost his temper and said: “In such an event, I will consume you during breakfast in the morning.” #Mandodari, who was there with Ravana, consoled Seetha Devi symbolically with her eyes and asked to #Ravana to return. Ravana instructed the female demon guards around Seetha to try all their tricks to covert the mind of Seetha.
After Ravana briskly returned, the female demons, more due to the fear of getting punished by Ravana than with any conviction, began praising Ravana and tried to convince Seetha to agree to the offer of Ravana.
The dream of Trijata to be narrated in the next episode.

SUMMARY (1): The virtuous, spiritually awakened and deities whole heartedly complimented Srirama for killing Subahu, who had turned out to be a foe for the Sacrifice that Sage Vishwamitra had proposed to perform, who had sharp locks, was promoting unholiness, was then the leader of bad elements and was advancing swiftly to fight.

SUMMARY (2): Deities and the community of the virtuous complimented Sri Krishna with attractive arms for killing the prime wickeds such as Keshi, Arishta and others in war, as they were cruel, hated the children of sages and targeted the   infants.
While discussing about Srirama Avatara, the compound word “Munisaptatantukruta…” should be analysed as “MuneenAm saptatanturyAgaha”, where “Saptatantu” means sacrifices or Yaga performed by sages or Munis. In the case of Sri Krishna Avatara, “sajaTAsantatishcha” should be taken into reference. For the words “KaTukEshyariShTapadamuKhyadurjanam” and “UdyatasubAhum” should understood as “KrUrakEshavantam ashBhasThanam muKhyam durjanam”, which means notorious demons with cruel locks, who lived in unholy places and “Udyatam SubAhwAKhyam rAkShasam”, which means demon called Subahu, who was ready to fight, should be the manner of interpretation in the case of Sri Ramavatara, as per Bhava Prakashika. In the case of Sri Krishnavatara, the word “Udyatasundarahastam” means the Lord with attractive palms; the interpretation should invoke “KEshyariShTanAmAdidurjanam kShapayantam”, which means “he killed Keshi, Arishta and other wicked demons”.
These are extraordinary stanzas for their dual meaning and dual description of two incarnations of Sri Hari. The pleasure of understanding the stanzas increase with every exploration.

SUMMARY: (90) Within these two Sections (Koshas), both inside and outside, Sankarshana gets to be named as Manomaya, a form that fully covers the mind, by assuming five lakh sixty-two thousand one hundred and seven forms; being free from any sort of defects, he is known as Vasudeva and gets to be the manifestation of science by appearing in four thousand three hundred and seventy four forms and he encompasses all the in-charge deities related to this knowledge. Known as Purusha, this Sri Hari flows as Viraja River that contains waters of knowledge (Svedajala) that bestows welfare and he appears in the form of Great Mother Mahalakshmi, who breaks the physical forms of those possessing BrahmAparOkShajnAna or the AprarOksha Jnana of Brahma, a branch of knowledge that pervades the known/seen and unknown/unseen worlds.
SUMMARY: (91) Viraja River in Vaikuntha is in the form of Sri Lakshmi, which originated from the sweat of Sri Hari. As Sri Hari is untouched by defects (Nirdosha or Dosharahita), the drops of his sweat are also holy, sacred and pleasant.
These are very subtle analyses of the forms of Sri Hari that prove that Sri Hari is Omnipresent, beyond imagination, explanation or description. Nothing can happen or act without His direction and how he performs these infinite actions is simply inexplicable. Sri Jagannatha Dasaru in this magnum opus, chef d'oeuvre or disambiguation, tries to emphasise this trait of Sri Hari in several ways.

SUMMARY: May this Triveni, union of three sacred rivers, who is like scissors that cut the heritage of sins and the provider of salvation or Moksha, eradicate my sins like the Sun evaporates the mist!
While having bath every morning, there is a tradition of reciting “TeertharAjAya namaha” where “TeerTharAja” refers to Prayaga or Triveni.
In one of the hymns in Rig Veda, it is stated:
“SitAsitE saritE yatra sangatE tatrAplutAsO divamutpatanti”
Anyone having bath in the Triveni Sangam or the union of three holy rivers of Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati will secure heavens as well as salvation.
The greatness of Triveni finds citations in Padmapurana, Vanaparva in Mahabharata, Matsya Purana, Kurma Purana, Agni Purana, Garuda Purana, PrayamAhAtmya, ShatAdhyAyi and several other holy scriptures.

The above hymn is an excerpt from Padma Purana, which means:
The sacred place where Saraswati, Yamuna and Ganga join together, where the devotees leading a life that is restricted by knowledge and strict traditional practices will be carried on the path of Brahmapada after taking a dip in that spot, where the sacred Banyan Tree (Ficus Indica) spreads its shadow and bestows upon those coming under that shadow with pure traits (Satva Guna), where Sri Prayaga Madhava clears the sins and pains of those taking his Darshan, is supreme of the highest order.
Like the Sun is supreme among planets, moon among stars, Teertha Prayaga is supreme among all Teertha Kshetras or holy places. At the time of Great Deluge “Pralay”, Lord Vishnu lies on the leaf of this very Banyan Tree and therefore Darshan of Sri Madhava in this place destroys the sins, including the Capital Sin called Brahmahatya. Having bath in Prayag during Magha Maas (January-February) is most beneficial. The Scriptures describe the Seven Grand Cities, including Ayodhya, as the queens of the King of Cities called Prayaga and that is why Prayaga is known as TeertharAja. The Puranas divide Prayaga into three major parts. The middle of this is considered to be the union of Ganga and Yamuna, which is called as GArhaptnyAgni; the opposite banks of Ganga is known as AahavaneeyAgni and the banks of Yamuna is known as Dakshinagni. Spending a night in each of these three places is as sacred as offering worship to three types of Fire.
During Magha Maas every year, annual festival is held. Once in every twelve years, Jupiter enters the house of Taurus (Spring – April-May) and the Sun enters Capricorn (Autumn, Winter – December-January) Kumbhamela occurs in Prayaga  and once in every six years “Ardhakumbh” (Quasi Kumbh) is held. Historically, it is said that Emperor Harshavardhana used to organize Dharmasabha (Religious Conference) during these festivals and donate everything.
Prayaga is well connected by surface transport.
Another stanza on Prayaga by Sri Vadirajaru will be explained in the next episode.
