ಅಜ್ಞಾನಾದ್ಯದಿ ಸಜ್ಜನೇಷು ರಚಿತದ್ರೋಹಾನ್ಮಯಿ ಸ್ವರ್ಧುನಿ

ಸ್ವಸ್ಫೂರ್ತ್ಯಾ ಸುಜನೇಷು ದೂಷಣಗಣಾರೋಪಾದವಜ್ಞಾತವ|

ತರ್ಹಿ ತ್ವಾಂ ಸಗರಾತ್ಮಜಾಸ್ಥಿನಿಕರಾಃ ಜಾನಂತಿ ಕಿಂ ತೈಃ ಪ್ರಭೋಃ

ದ್ರೋಹಃ ಕಿಂ ನ ಕೃತಃ ಕಿಮಂಬ ನ ಹರಾವಾರೋಪಿತಾ ಚೋರತಾ||17||

AjnAnAdyadi sajjanEShu rachitadrOhAnmayi swarDhuni

swasPhUrtyA sujanEShu dUShaNagaNArOpAdavajnAtava|

Tarhi twAm sagarAtmajAsThinikarAha jAnanti kim taihi praBhOho

drOhaha kim na krutaha kimamba na harAvArOpitA chOratA||17||

अज्ञानाद्यदि सज्जनॆषु रचितद्रॊहान्मयि स्वर्धुनि स्वस्फूर्त्या सुजनॆषु दूषणगणारॊपादवज्ञातव।

तर्हि त्वाम् सगरात्मजास्थिनिकराः जानंति किं तैः प्रभॊः द्रॊहः किं न कृतः किमंब न हरावारॊपिता चॊरता॥१७॥

SUMMARY: Oh Heavenly River, why do you neglect me this way? Is it because I lack the spiritual knowledge or because of letting down the virtuous or because of leveling charges against good people voluntarily owing to the talent or caliber I possessed or envy? It may not be due to any of these three reasons because you have obliged all those who had committed these crimes. For instance, did the skeletons of sixty thousand sons of Sagara possess any knowledge? You obliged them even though they did not have the supreme knowledge. You transferred them into the heavens as soon as Did  those sixty thousand sons of Sagara not harass Lord Kapila? You obliged them even though they were disrespectful to the virtuous. Did the sons of Sagara not allege Sage Kapila, an incarnation of Lord Narayana, that he was a thief? In all, you have pardoned and graced those who had committed all three types of crime Therefore you cannot discard me or neglect me for any reason.  

ಆರಭ್ಯಾಬ್ಜಜಲೋಕಮಾಕ್ಷಿತಿತಲಾದಾಯಾತಯಾ ಕಿಂ ತ್ವಯಾ

ಮಚ್ಛಿತ್ತಂ ಮಿತ್ಯಬಲಯಾತ್ಯಕ್ತಂ ಭಿಯಾ ಜಾಹ್ನವಿ|

ಅಕ್ಷಯ್ಯಾ ಚಲತುಂಗಶೃಂಗನಿಕರಾನ್ನಿರ್ಭಿದ್ಯ ಯಾಂತೀ ಮಮ

ಸ್ವಲ್ಪಂ ಕಿಂ ಬಹುಮನ್ಯಸೇsಶುಭಕುಲಂ ಗಂಗೇಂsತತರಂಗೇ ಚಲಮ್||18||

AaraBhyAbjajalOkamAkShititalAdAyAtayA kim twayA

Machchittam bahudUramityabalayA tyaktam BhiyA jAhnavee|

AkShayyAchalatungashrunganikarAnnirBhidya yAntee mama

Swalpam kim bahumanyasE(s)shuBhakulam GangE(s)tarangE chalam||18||

आरभ्याब्जजलॊकमाक्षितलावा यातया किं त्वया मच्चित्तं बहुदूरमित्यबलया त्यक्तं भिया जाह्नवि।

अक्षय्याचलतुंगशृंगनिकरान्निर्भिद्य यांती मम स्वल्पं किं बहुमन्यसॆsशुभकुलं गंगॆsतरंगॆ चलं॥१८॥

SUMMARY: Oh Ganga, the daughter of Lord Brahma, having come from Brahma Loka to Earth, being  innocent, have you discarded me owing to the fear caused by thinking that my mind is quite far away? Oh Ganga, you flow down breaching the high mountain towers. Do you consider the small quantum of sins I have committed, which is now trembling just because I am

remembering you in the mind, as very large? In such an event, do you think my mind is far away compared to the twenty-five crore Yojana you have flown from Brahma Loka to the Earth? Please stay in my mind too and oblige me with a boon so that I continue to remember you incessantly.

Sri Vadirajaru has variously praised Ganga and appealed to her to bless him.
