SUMMARY: Afterwards, flamboyant Sri Poornaprajnaru, moving from the East, the favorite direction of Indra, towards the West, the Sun dazzling with rarest radiation, touched the earth with his feet (rays) to make it sacred and shone brightly.

Just as the Sun moves towards the west and makes the earth holy with his rays, Sri Madhwaru made the world holy by putting his sacred feet on the path towards Kasargod.

MaGhavAn means Lord Indra. Maghavatee means east, which is the direction in which Lord Indra resides. Swapaadasangaat means both feet as well as rays of Sun. KAShThA means direction.
