Meaning: Wearing two forms of Shree and Hree, Seetha Devi stood on both sides of Srirama and blew the fan(chamara) while Sri Hanumantha held the Royal Umbrella. Sri Rama shone with his celestial radiation with those fans and umbrella.

It may be recalled that Seetha Devi pretended to have ended her life on earth to push the Suranaka demons to hell. Now, to make the spirituous and righteous people aware that Srirama and Seetha were inseparable like Vishnu and Lakshmi, she came in two forms and stood on either side of Srirama.

The Youthful spirit, charm and other qualities of Goddess Lakshmi are natural features of Seetha Devi from her birth to infinity. Except Srirama, none else has similar qualities. Vedas can describe her characters, in full. The natural stages of human life such as birth, destruction etc., cannot touch Seetha Devi. However, those and many more qualities of Seetha Devi are in greater proportion in Srirama.

Lord Hanumantha was standing behind Srirama beholding the White Royal Umbrella (Shwetachchatra). Tiny drops of elixir fell on Srirama and Seetha Devi like drizzle. The Moon emitting elixir-laden rays is incapable of showering such drops of elixir that the Royal Umbrella was emitting. Those accompanying Srirama enjoyed the comfort, peace and happiness that the elixir drops provided them with.

The Divine Disc in the right hand of Sri Hari is popularly known as Sudarshana. Sri Pradyumna, who is the beloved of this Disc and equal to Devendra in every aspect had incarnated as Bharata. Beholding the Sudarshana Disc, Bharata moved along the right side of Srirama. The radiation of this Divine Disc is equal to the radiation of infinite Suns. It has been killing all the evil persons from time immemorial to time infinity.

Sri Aniruddha, the son of Manmatha and beloved of Panchajanya, the Divine Conch, which adores the left hand of Sri Hari had incarnated as Shatrughna. Carrying that Panchajanya, Shatrughna walked on the left side of Srirama. Panchajanya was producing different pleasant and melodious sounds due to the exhale air of Srirama. It was pure, clear and shining like the Moon.

Brahma, Rudra and other gods, wearing their respective royal robes and accompanied by their respective officers, accompanied Srirama, praising the Lord. The beloved deities of the paradigm and other chants followed Srirama. Behind these deities, the animals, birds, insects, trees, grass, donkeys and other animate beings moved ahead, praising Srirama.

Sugreeva and other monkeys, human beings, Gandharvas, Vidyadhara Charana and others followed Srirama, playing various percussion and music instruments.

The physical appearance of Srirama and Seetha Devi transformed into divine forms and along with them, all others accompanying them, got into Pushpaka plane, after taking bath in Sarayu River. (To be continued)

As soon as Sri Madhwaru enquired to know who among his puils was strong and courageous, Sri Upendra Tritharu rushed. Sri Madhwaru empowered the mind of Sri Upendraru so strong that he snatched the axe and other similar deadly weapons from each robber, thrash him to such an extent that he ran away in fear. SUMMARY: Chaturmurti Sri Hari exists in Lord Brahma in thirty forms, in twenty-seven forms in Lord Vayu, twenty-five and eighteen forms in Saraswati and Bharati, the two daughters of Pradyumna. One should keep on worshipping Sri Hari of four forms for one hundred years with the awareness of all these great foms.

In the compound word “PradyumnasutaroLu”, the word “Suta” is often mistaken as referring to son. In Sanskrit, Suta means son or daughter. Therefore, in this particular context, “Pradyumnasuta” refers to the daughters of Pradyumna known as Saraswati and Bharati. Usage of words that can be referred to both masculine and feminine genders is there in Harikathamrutasara elsewhere too. It is an accepted usage.

SUMMARY: There are thirty-six thousand days in one hundred years and the same number of pulses is there in our body. In them, think of thirty-six thousand forms each for male and females. In all think that there are seventy-two thousand forms of Sri Hari, the shelter of everything in the universe, in human body and think that he is complete and comprehensive everywhere, while worshipping him.

One should be aware that there are thirty-six thousand forms of Sri Hari on the right side and another thirty-six thousand in the left side of human body.

Details of this understanding are mentioned in Aitareyopanishadbhashya:

 Sri Raghavendra Swamy Virachita

SRI #RAMACHARITRYA #MANJARI

Invitation for Moksha/Salvation/ಮೋಕ್ಷಕ್ಕೆ ಆಹ್ವಾನ

The task that had been set for the incarnation of Vishnu as Srirama had been accomplished. As Lord Rudra could not ‘kill’ Srirama, as per the orders of Sri Hari, on earth, he (Lord Rudra) requested Srirama to disappear and go to Shweta Dweepa (White Island) and ensured that people on earth could not see Srirama, physically. Lord Rudra saluted Srirama for keeping his fame as destroyer intact.

Srirama, as requested by Lord Rudra, decided to go to Shweta Dweepa. He summoned his messengers and ordered them to announce in public by beating the drums that anyone desirous of accompanying Srirama to Shweta Dweepa could join him. Those who followed Srirama to Shweta Dweepa were relieved from the cycle of birth and death and they will spend their life there with happiness and joy. They would not experience any sort of misery, displeasure, disappointment, despair and such negative emotions.

People with Tamas character ignored the call. Family-bound people too decided not to follow Srirama to Shweta Dweepa.

However, a few knowledgeable and righteous people followed Srirama.

Coronation of Kusha and Lava

Atmasoonoo swarAjyE krutvA “swasmAt SeethAyAm jAtau IndrahutAshanau kushalavAKhyau putrau kramAt sAmrAjyE yauvvarAjyE cha aBhiShichya taduttaradisham gachChan”.

Kusha was an incarnation of Lord Indra and Lava was an incarnation of Fire God Agni. Srirama installed Kusha on the throne of Kosala and Lava on the throne of Northern State.

Srirama conveyed the message of his departure from Earth to Shweta Dweepa to Shatrughna through messengers. Shatrughna immediately installed his eldest son Subahu on the throne of Madhurapura and second son Shatrughati on the throne of Vaidika. He arrived at Ayodhya alone on a chariot, saluted Srirama and requested Srirama to take him to Shweta Dweepa.

Sugreeva, who came to know of these developments, performed the coronation of Angada for Kishkindha and came to Ayodhya. Vibheeshana also came to Ayodhya but Srirama said that he (Vibheeshana) should continue to live till the end of the term of present Brahma.

A large number of people hurriedly came to Ayodhya to join Srirama. Hanumatha was sitting at the feet of Srirama. Looking at his most beloved devotee, Srirama said:

“Dear Hanumantha, you are the only person, who is aware of all my traits and greatness, purpose of my incarnation and so on. You are the most dedicated devotee. You will alone be able to see my physical form and the people will be praising you. Even Gandharvas, Apsaras and other celestial beings will be praising you for the devotion you have for me. You will have all the desires fulfilled. You can spread my greatness and bless the people. You were capable of killing Ravana and Kumbhakarna. You did not do it because you were aware of the assurance I had given to Jaya and Vijaya that I will only be killing them during their three appearances on Earth. That is why you did not kill them. You can ask any boon and I will immediately grant it. You will stay on Earth to protect the righteous.”

Sri Hanuman asked Srirama that he should always be devoted to Srirama and he did not want anything else. Srirama granted that boon.

SUMMARY: Sri Madhwacharyaru, who had been seen as a person meant to be punished, appeared like a person capable of governing the State. Even though he could proceed by force, he did not do so because he wanted to show to the pupils how a person should handle precarious situations.

The king could immediately know that Sri Madhwaru was a great saint philosopher and deserved utmost reverence, unlike his soldiers and servants.

SUMMARY: Once, a group of thugs/robbers attacked Sri Madhwacharyaru and his pupils; Sri Madhwaru asked his pupils to stay in a place, rolled one of his loin clothes into the shape of a ball, threw it among the robbers, luring them to think that the rolled cloth contained a bounty and they started fighting among themselves to usurp the wealth. It was like Arjuna luring the Samshaptakaru to fight among them and get destroyed.

The ball-shapped cloth was seen as containing wealth or money by the robbers. Sri Vayudevaru is the controller of psyche or mind. The rolled cloth was mistaken to be containing gold. Bhava Prakashika describes the incident as:

KaratalagatapaTapinDam kanakamiti vichintya maDhwam hantukAmA prasparam jaGhnuhu|

करतलगतपटपिन्डं कनकमिति विचिन्त्य मध्वं हन्तुकामा परस्पर जघ्नुः।

The primary intention of the robbers was to kill Sri Madhwaru and rob whatever he and his pupils were carrying. Sri Madhwaru was passing through a dense forest when this incident occurred. However, the situation was transformed into an internal brawl and later into an infighting whereby the robbers killed one another.

Arjuna had fired Sammohanastra among the Samshaptakas. The result was similar. The Samshaptakas fought each other and got destroyed.
