After the departure of Sampati, all the monkeys began announcing their individual capacity to fly, while Hanuman was sitting alone, separately. He was praying in praise of Srirama, when Jambavanta approached him. Jambavanta was aware of the capacity of Hanumantha, which was incomparable. Jambavanta says that even celestial Golden Eagle, the vehicle of Sri Hari, could not match Hanumantha in flying capacity. Jambavanta appealed and motivated Hanumantha to take up the task of crossing the 100-Yojana sea. Hanumantha then agrees to cross the sea, see Seetha Devi and return, successfully.
It was like Hanumantha performing a holy sacrifice with demons as the beasts to be sacrificed. The adventure of Hanumantha was the fire and the benefit he wanted to acquire was the grace of Lord Hari. He saluted Srirama, rook his permission and blessings to fly, climbed the highest peak and got ready to fly.

ನರಸಿಂಹ ಏಷ ವಿದದಾರ ದಾರುಣಂ ಪ್ರತಿಘೋದಯೇ ನಖರಚಕ್ರತೇಜಸಾ|
ಸ್ವರಿಪುಂ ಕ್ಷಣೇನ ಸರಸಃ ಸ್ಫುರತ್ತನುಂ ಪೃಥುಸತ್ತ್ವಮಿಷ್ಟಜನಭೀತಿಭಂಜನಃ||16||

SUMMARY: This Narayana, who drives away the fear in human beings, appeared in the form of a Lion wearing a fearsome, angry and cruel face, a body shining with radiation of the disc/wheel and very strong, with which he cut the body of Hiranyakashipu, in a moment.
In this stanza, two incarnations of Sri Narayana find mention. The first one is that of Sri Narasihma in which Sri Narayana protected Prahlada by killing Hiranyakashipu, a very strong king and father of Prahlada. The second Avtar referred in this stanza is that of a Tapasa, a person incessantly doing penance. In Sanskrit, Tapas means penance. This relates to the form in which Lord Hari relieves a king tusker.
Sri Narasihma incarnation is also known as Purushottama. For Narasihma form, the reading should be:Narasihmaha, pratiGhOdayE naKharachakratEjasA and for Tapasa form, it should be read as Narasihmaha, pratiGhOdayEna naKharachakratEjasA.
The form in which Lord Hari bestows salvation of tusker king is known as Tapasa form or incarnation:

    SUMMARY: Sri Hari, who is addressed with the word “Vari”, which in Sanskrit means ‘water’, lives in water, transforms into six types of juices, wears thirty-six thousand types of female pulses and thirty-six thousand types of male pulses; by doing so, he stays within all the physical forms day and night in the name of Bruhatee and roams about.
    In numerology, the alphabets are assigned numbers and used in code language. The Sanskrit alphabets are divided into KAdinava, TAdinava, PAdipanchaha and YAdiaShTaha. The word VAri, which means water, signifies six because VA is the fourth letter in YAdiaShTaha and Ri is the second letter in the same group. Therefore 4+2=6, which symbolically means that there are six types of tastes or juices in water namely sweet, bitter, sour, salt, hot and pungent.
    In Bruhatee Chandas, there are thirty-six letters of which thirty-six are vowels and thirty-six consonants. The forms of vowels are considered as male forms and Aharniyamaka or deciders of daytime; the consonants are considered to be female forms and deciders of night or RAtriniyAmaka forms. A thousand syllogistic clusters in Bruhatee Chandas is known as Bruhateesahasra.
    In Aitareyopanishat and Bhashya, it has been clearly mentioned that as many as seventy-two forms of the Lord are thee in Bruhateesahasra.
    Manner in which Shadrasa or six juices expand into eighteen juices or tastes/

                     ಆರು ಮೂರಾಗಿಹವು ಸಾರಾ-
                     ಸಾರ ನೀತಾಪ್ರಚುರ ಖಂಡಾತುಂಡ ಚಿತ್ಪ್ರಚುರ|
                     ಈರಧಿಕ ಎಪ್ಪತ್ತು ಸಾವಿರ
                     ಮಾರಮಣನ ರಸಾಖ್ಯರೂಪ ಶ-
                     ರೀರದೊಳು ಭೋಜ್ಯ ಸುಪದಾರ್ಥದಿ ತಿಳಿದು ಭುಂಜಿಪುದು||4||

    SUMMARY: These six Rasas or juices convert into eighteen types with the combinations in different ratio, where the vitality or inherent power of each component is mixed. In these eighteen forms or types, Lord Sri Hari lives in six forms namely sAra (concentrate), AsAra (zero concentrate), Neeta, prachura, KhanDa and AKhanDa. By thinking of Sri Hari to be present in seventy-two thousand forms in the body as well as eatables, one should consume the food.
    The six Rasas or juices comprise of six each in Satwik, Rajas and Tamas food varieties, which together become eighteen.
    Sara means the different forms of milk; AsAra signify grass and its varieties; Neeta are specific grains; Prachura means sugar, salt etc.; KhanDa exists in each grain of rice, separately and AKhanDa signifies the tastes present in all the eatables, put together.

Krishna River/ಕೃಷ್ಣಾ ನದಿ – 2
ಗುರುಂ ಕನ್ಯಾಗತಂ ಧನ್ಯಾ ಯಾ ಪುರಸ್ಕೃತ್ಯ ಸೇವ್ಯಸೇ|
ಶ್ರೀಕೃಷ್ಣವೇಣಿ ಪಾಪಾನಿ ಸಾ ತ್ವಂ ಪುಣ್ಯಯಸಿ ಧ್ರುವಮ್||2||
Gurum kanyAgatam DhanyA yA puraskrutya sEvyasE|
SreekruShNavENi pApAni sA twam puNyayasi Dhruvam||2||
SUMMARY:  Oh Mother Krishnaveni, when Goddess Bhageerathi manifests in you and when Jupiter is in Virgo, you will be worshipped after worshipping him, along with his wife. Being such a distinct goddess, you transform the sins into good deeds without any doubt and this is the real truth.
There is a traditional custom of taking holy dip in Krishna River when Jupiter is in the house of Virgo. Before taking bath in the Krishna, the following hymn is recited:
BruhaspatE surADhyakSha sarvalOkanamaskruta|
GruhANArGhyam mayA dattam kanyAsThO BhAryayA saha||
ಬೃಹಸ್ಪತೇ ಸುರಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಸರ್ವಲೋಕನಮಸ್ಕೃತ|
ಗೃಹಾಣಾರ್ಘ್ಯಂ ಮಯಾ ದತ್ತಂ ಕನ್ಯಾಸ್ಥೋ ಭಾರ್ಯಯಾ ಸಹ||
Obeisance is offered thrice with water while reciting the above hymn. Scriptures mention that when Jupiter is in the house of Virgo, Goddess Ganga, who houses three and a half crore goddesses of holy water, manifests in the Krishna. Sri Vadirajaru has composed this stanza keeping this phenomenon in mind.
The compound word “KanyAgatam” in this stanza not only means the time when Jupiter is in the house of Virgo but also an abuse where a Master goes to the house of a girl pupil and seduces her. A dip in Krishna during the above mentioned auspicious period erases such a heinous act committed by a characterless Guru and converts it into a good act. This only emphasizes the fact that the period when Jupiter is in Virgo is very auspicious and having bath in the Krishna in that period is very meritorious.
ಕಿಂ ವರ್ಣಯಾಮಿ ಹೇ ಕೃಷ್ಣೇ ತ್ವಯಿ ಕೃಷ್ಣಸ್ಯ ಸನ್ನಿಧಿಮ್|
ಯತ್‌ಸಮಸ್ತಪದೋಕ್ತೌ ತು ಪುಂಭಾವಮವಲಂಬಸೇ||3||

SUMMARY: It is said that another river named Venee originates along with Krishna River at the same spot of her birth. Because of this factor, Krishna River has got the name of Krishnaveni. Sri Vadirajaru has described the river by keeping this additional information in the mind. “Oh Krishne! How best can I describe the presence of Lord Krishna in you? Grammatically, your name should have been KriShNAvENee (NA, vE and Nee are all long vowels) and the name should have been treated as feminine gender. On the contrary, because of substantial presence of Lord Krishna with you, your name is being treated as masculine gender – Krishnaveni. Therefore, you are very much fortunate.
Panini’s formula No. 6-6-63 has been applied here: JnyApOho sanjnAChandasOrbahulam to transform the feminine gender KriShNAvENee into masculine gender KriShNavENee.

SUMMARY: Oh Krishnaveni, whose form is for the wellbeing of the universe, I am requesting you to bless me with such acquaintance with Lord Krishna that is borne out of the distinct knowledge of the inexplicable greatness of the feet of the Lord and insatiable devotion because in you, there is a high degree of the presence of the Lord.

Sampati appears/ಸಂಪಾತಿಯ ದರ್ಶನ
Sampati, king of vultures, who was lying on a rock that was in close proximity to where the Vanaras had assembled and were discussing aloud, heard that the Vanaras had decided to commit suicide. Sampati, for a moment, felt very happy as he thought that he would, after a long time, be getting a large quantity of human flesh to beat his hunger. He came to the edge of the rock and was waiting for the Vanaras to die.
The Vanaras began reciting the story of Srirama as the recitation of the name of Sri Hari or Srirama just before death would be spiritually meritorious:
“Sri Hari is the Lord of the entire universe comprising Anantasana, Vaikuntha and Shweta Dweepa. He took birth as Rama and son of Dasharatha, the king of Ayodhya. He killed Subahu and other demons and protected the sacrifice that Sage Vishwamitra performed. With this act, Srirama showed to the world that he had incarnated to punish the evil and protect the virtuous.
Later, he broke the bow of Lord Shiva to show that he was superior than Lord Shiva. He married Seetha. As a token of respect for the words that Dasharatha had given to Kaikeyi, Srirama sacrificed the throne and moved off to the forests, along with his younger brother Lakshmana and wife Seetha Devi. Srirama demolished fourteen thousand demons single handedly to make everyone realize that he alone is the Lord of this universe. Later, his wife Seetha Devi was abducted from Janasthan by demon king Ravana. Jatayu, king of vultures, fought against Ravana to prevent him from escaping with Seetha Devi but was killed by Ravana. Jatayu had exhibited his devotion to Lord Hari. Ravana had killed Jatayu through deceitful means. Srirama met Jatayu, who was still holding his breath to convey that Ravana had eloped with Seetha Devi. After narrating the whole incident, Jatayu breathed his last and Srirama cremated him.
There in Ayodhya, because of the departure of his beloved son Srirama, Dasharatha passed away. Srirama met Sugreeva, became a friend of Sugreeva, killed Vali and installed Sugreeva on the throne of Kishkindha. Sugreeva ordered the Vanaras to trace Seetha Devi and return to Kishkindha within a month. We had been asked to search for Seetha Devi in the southern region. Now that the one-month deadline has expired, we would be sentenced to death by Sugreeva, if we return bear handed and without Seetha Devi. Therefore, we have decided to end our lives here.”
These words of Vanaras filled the heart of Sampati with sorrow. He immediately enquired with the Vanaras about Jatayu. Sampati first told Vanaras that Jatayu was his younger brother. Vanaras reiterated the entire story and revealed the reason for deciding to end their lives. Vanaras now enquired about the background of Sampati and the reason why he became anxious after hearing the name of Jatayu. Sampati began narrating his story:
“Aruna is the charioteer of Lord Sun. Aruna had two sons and I am the eldest of the two. My name is Sampati. Jatayu was my younger brother. Once we wanted to test the speed at which we could fly. We also decided that the loser of this competition of flying would hand over his entire kingdom to the winner. We began flying and we tried to match the Sun on speed. Yet, the heat was too much and we could not continue the journey. We were losing consciousness. I saw Jatayu fainting and therefore I spread my wings to provide a shadow to Jatayu. As a result, my wings were burnt and there was trace of Jatayu since then. I fell on this rock and since there was no meaning in remaining alive, I decided to commit suicide. When I was about to end my life, my well-wisher and philosopher Nishakara Maharishi arrived and said: “Do not end your life now. After some time, a few servants of Srirama will come here. You need to do some service to them by informing them about Lanka, its king Ravana, who would be abducting Seetha Devi. You will then get back your wings. Dasharatha is one of my most revered friends. I wish to do some service to Dasharatha. But, I have no strength now. I would have even killed Ravana. I can only inform you about Seetha Devi. Once, my son Suparshwa had gone to forest to fetch food for me. He told me that he had seen Ravana carrying Seetha Devi. He also heard Seetha yelling ‘Ha Rama, Oh Lakshmana’. He also wanted to stand in the way of Ravana but did not do so. Even though I want to assist Rama physically, mentally and words of mouth. I have no strength to do anything, physically. I can only bless you to be successful. I can see the exact location of Seetha even while sitting here. Srirama has bestowed upon me the power to see objects that are several Yojanas away. My body, which had been weakened, is recuperating, because of the grace of Lord Rama. Initially, I heard the story of Rama without much interest because I was actually waiting for all of you to die so that I could have sufficient food after a long period. If the story of Rama can do me so much good with half-hearted hearing, what an amount of benefit it will do if someone listens to it with interest and devotion?” Saying these words, Sampati flew into the sky, saw from there, in the middle of salty blue sea, at about a hundred Yojana distance, the spectacular city of Lanka. He could also see the Ashoka Vana in Lanka, where Seetha Devi was sitting under a tree, surrounded by several female demons. Those demons were offering her liquor and mutton to consume. She was abandoning all of them. Lord Devendra was there, invisibly, and giving her Elixir, which she was dividing into three parts and consuming one part. The other two were being kept for her husband and brother-in-law. Anyone capable of leaping the entire distance of one hundred Yojanas in one breath could easily cross the sea and reach Lanka.” Sampati told Vanaras and wished them good luck before flying away to Mount Himalaya, his original abode.

SUMMARY: Being the protector of the distressed, incarnated as Tortoise and lifted the Mount Mandara, when it started sinking during the churning by deities and demons. One who relieves the beings from the ocean of family life and carries them to the shores of Moksha or salvation, lifted the earth when Hiranyaksha, the enemy of gods, was pulling it with his shoulders and immersing it in the waters.
In his incarnation as Tortoise, Lord Hari lifted the Mount Mandara from the cosmic ocean of milk as it was sinking when the deities and and demons were churning it to secure the Elixir as there was no platform to hold the Mountain. Hiranyaksha, the elder brother of Hiranyakashipu, dragged the Earth and was immersing it in the waters. Lord Hari incarnated as a Pig-man, killed Hiranyaksha, retrieved the Earth and placed it back in the orbit. It is said to have been mentioned in Mahabharata that Hiranyaksha had thousand arms: HiraNyAkShasya sahasrabAhutwam BhAratE prasidDham|
