Hanumantha had already decided to somehow prompt Ravana to react and the easiest way to do it was to destroy the Ashoka Vana, which was deeply loved by Ravana. He launched an onslaught on the trees, plants and creepers in Ashoka Vana. He spoiled the pure water pond in that orchard. Hanumantha was very careful while executing his plan. He did not touch the tree under which Seetha was sitting.
After fully destroying Ashoka forests, Hanumantha roared like lion and stood behind the main entrance of Ashoka Vana. When Hanumantha roared aloud, the entire Lanka trembled and the female demons surrounding Seetha Devi ran in different directions to save their lives. Meanwhile, some female demons took the courage to ask Seetha about the Vanara. Seetha categorically denied tobe aware of who that Vanara was. She said: “You demons, you are capable of changing your shape and appearance. I have not spoken to any monkey and I do not know which monkey you are pointing at?” However, female demons did not trust Seetha. They also went to Ravana and complained against the monkey. Ravana sent one of the prominent army of about eighty thousand soldiers and eighty crore distinguished leaders. He instructed the army chief to try his maximum to catch the monkey alive. The first battalion of army sent by Ravana was consisting of Kinkaras,
who were killed within a flash by Hanumantha. He announced aloud that he was a messenger of Srirama and there were several ‘more powerful’ monkeys at the disposal of Srirama. He said that that Srirama would soon lay siege on Lanka, destroy it and take Seetha away. Ravana, who heard the roar of Hanumantha and got the information that Kinkaras had been precipitated by Hanumantha, sent Jambumali, son of Prahasta, the chief minister of Lanka. Jambumali rode on a chariot driven by donkeys. Hanumantha was equipped with a large iron bolt he had removed from the main door of Ashoka Vana. He destroyed the entire army of Jambumali along with Jambumali. Another seven sons of seven ministers sent by Ravana were killed by Hanumantha. Durdharsha, Yupaksha, Virupaksha and Praghasa, who were commanders of different ardies were sent by Ravana and their fate was no different. Ravana was now a worried person. He could not guess who this Hanumantha could be. He knew about Sugreeva, Vali and others. He had not heard anything about Hanumantha. Ravana turned his face towards Aksha, one of his sons. Aksha understood the mind of Ravana and galloped towards Ashoka Vana, along with a huge army. Aksha too met the same fate as the other demon chiefs who had battled earlier. It was then left to Indrajitu, the most beloved son of Ravana and a very powerful warrior.
The battle between Hanumantha and Indrajitu will be discussed in the next episode.

SUMMARY: Srirama/Sri Krishna married princess, the daughter of Janaka, Seetha (daughter of Bheeshmaka, Rukmini), an incarnation of Sri Mahalakshmi. He defeated Parashurama, who was pretending to be the chief destroyer of Kshatriyas but in reality wanted to prune their pride and save the world from some arrogant Kshatriya Kings, only to lure the demons (Sri Krishna won against Jarasandha and other enemies), entered Ayodhya, which was as unfathomable as the ocean, and felt very happy (Sri Krishna entered Dwaraka, which could not be easily accessed as it was in the midst of an ocean).
The marriage of Srirama with Seetha and Srikrishna with Rukmini has been beautifully described parallelly in this stanza.
NrupasutA (नृपसुता) means Seetha, the daughter of King Janaka in the case of Srirama and Rukmini (also spelt as Rugmini), th daughter of Bheeshmaka, in the case of Sri Krishna. Similarly, “RAjashatravaha” means “RAjAna yEva shAtravAshcha”, which denotes Kshatriya Kings in Tretayuga (Ramavatar) and demon kings in Dwaparayuga. In the case of Ramavatar “AbDhidurgamam” refers to Ayodhya City, which was like an ocean and not accessible for enemies. In the case of Sri Krishnavatar, Dwaraka was not accessible because it was surrounded by the sea.
There is a misconception that Rama defeated Parashurama or Parashurama confronted Rama when the latter was returning home after getting married. In reality, Rama and Parashurama are both incarnations of Lord Vishnu and there is no question of any sort of rivalry, war, victory or defeat between them. It was purely to lure the demons that an ordinary human being was quie strong and courageous.

SUMMARY: #AnirudDha, who is the embodiment of knowledge, stays eternally in the 51 alphabets, 24 principles (Tattwa), seven Dhatus or roots, and protects groups of living beings on Earth. Shannavati, which is one of the names of Sri Hari, is worshipped by the knowledgeable in these four forms.
Sutapas means a person of good thoughts, knowledgeable; one who terrorizes the wicked. Sutapa is one of the names that is mentioned in Sri #Vishnusahasranama.
Pratati means group and Jatana means protecting.

SUMMARY: Sri Hari, who is wearing the entire Brahmanda in his belly, ate the once-bitten fruits offered by Shabari in the forest; charmed the Gopis in Gokula; a good eater Sri Hari ate the rice offered by the wives of Rishis; inherently happy Sri Hari got impressed by the sandal paste offered by hunch-backed woman. Will Sri Hari, who is loved by knowledgeable and Munis, not receive (will he refuse?) the yields of our own deeds (Karma Phala) we offer to him?
Sri Jagannatha Dasaru is clarifying here that the “Naivedya” devotees offer will certainly be accepted by Sri Hari.

In various #Scriptures, the concept of “Yenjalu”, which means “once bitten”, which is generally not consumed by another person, has been debated. Yenjalu means UchChiShTha, which is expandable as “UtkruShTatayA ShiShTa”, which means reminder of anything, which is not necessarily ‘once bitten’. What the episode of Shabari offering ‘once bitten’ fruits to Rama and Lakshmana and the latter consuming it only conveys the larger perspective of the fact that Sri Hari does not “reject” anything outright, if it is offered with “love and devotion”. There are several instance s where literal meaning is often confusing and we will be ‘constrained’ to accept. They bear testimony for the ‘extraordinary empathy’ of Sri Hari, which should be conceived and appreciated.

Sri Vadirajaru is appealing to Goddess Ganga to impart knowledge into her devotees and provide them with salvation. He says, “Oh Mother Ganga, has your ability to provide Moksha or salvation vanished after touching the skeleton of the sons of Emperor?” Does it mean that your caliber to give salvation disappeared after bestowing Moksha upon the sons of Sagara? It is very much within you. Is Vaikuntha not spacious enough? Or else is there no opportunity for me alone?  Or is the way to Vaikuntha filled with obstacles that are beyond your power to clear? Or am I not born in a spirituous family? These are the four reasons for not being able to attain salvation or fulfill my earthly desires. Therefore dear mother, you must bestow upon me the heavens or Vaikuntha.

श्री वादिराज गुरुभ्यॊ नमः

A submission on this auspicious occasion of the Aradhana of Sri ॑# Vadiraja Tirtharu - श्री वादिराज गुरुभ्यॊ नमः

(Some miraculous instances where Sri Vadirajaru unintentionally showed to the world that he was divine are collected from various sources and given in English here. Please read, comment and share. SDN)
Sri Vadirajaru travelled far and wide. A large number of people used to follow him, wherever he went. Many people wanted him to bless their children, bless those getting married, boys for whom thread ceremony was being performed and so on. Some people were so fortunate that Sri Vadirajaru was present only to save the family from an imminent catastrophe or save the life of a bridegroom or retrieve the life of a dead person and so on.
1.   Once, a bridegroom was bitten to death by a serpent that was hiding in the turban he was wearing. Luckily, Sri Vadirajaru was there. He chanted his own composition Sri Lakshmi Shobhana and with the grace of Sri Lakshmi and Sri Narayana, the groom got a second life.
2.   A childless landlord appealed to Sri Vadirajaru to bless them with a child. With his mystic vision, Sri Vadirajaru learnt that the landlord had no chance of begetting a child. The truth was pronounced by him to the landlord. Later, the landlord met an enchanter and with the power of black magic, the landlord got a son. After about five years, Sri Vadirajaru visited the same place and came to know what had happened. Sri Vadirajaru summoned the landlord along with his son. When Sri Vadirajaru sprinkled some holy water on the boy, he turned into a devil. The devil said that it had been instructed to live with the landlord for six years, kill the landlord at the end and return. After revealing this secret, the devil disappeared. The landlord thanked Sri Vadirajaru for saving him and his family.
3.   A son of a Muslim king had passed away. Sri Vadirajaru placed the box in which he was carrying the idols of deities for offering his routine Puja on a place where the corpse of Muslim king’s son had been buried. The burial ground was on the outskirts of the city. The security guards and people living around the place told Sri Vadirajaru that the place was inauspicious and unsuitable for persons of his nature. Sri Vadirajaru got the body exhumed, sprinkled the holy water from his Kamandal (differently shaped water jar) and the boy became alive. Highly impressed and pleased king presented Sri Vadirajaru with a large quantity of wealth that was actually brought on camel back. Being an ascetic, Sri Vadirajaru poured all that wealth into Ganga. The riches presented by the same king for the second time was buried by Sri Vadirajaru at Udupi and on that place shrines dedicated to Sri Subrahmanya and Bhutarajaru were constructed.
There are several instances which have come down to us from words of mouth but not found in any document or in the written form. A question may arise as to why some divine beings display miracles. Display of miracles is not the intention behind such acts and that is why they cannot be termed as miracles. It appears to the ordinary people that some miracle is happening or being displayed. They perceive some obstacle or defect or fallacy in the previous birth of persons concerned.

Hanumantha offers to carry Seetha to Kishkindha/ಸೀತಾ ದೇವಿಯನ್ನು ಕಿಷ್ಕಿಂಧೆಗೆ ಕರೆದೊಯ್ಯಲು ಮುಂದಾದ ಹನುಮಂತ
Hanumantha tells Seetha Devi: “Dear Mother Seetha Devi, as I told you, I can carry all the three Lokas on my shoulders. This Lanka is just a tiny part of this Mother Earth. When I can lift the whole Earth, is it not possible for me to lift Lanka? I am in forefront of the devotees of Srirama. I will carry this entire Lanka to where Srirama is presently staying. For that matter, there is no need to carry the entire Lanka to Kishkindha. My back is as high as Mount Mandara and quite attractive. It is about 100 Yojana broad too. Please sit on this broad back for a moment and I will take you to where Srirama is. I can also make you see what your husband Srirama is presently doing in Kishkindha by sitting on my back.” All these words of Hanumantha were aimed at divulging his power and capacity.
Seetha Devi replied: “Oh Hanumantha, I am aware of your knowledge and strength. You are quite capable of powder the protectors of Lanka, including Ravana and take me to Kishkindha. But, you should not do so. Srirama alone should kill Ravana for having stolen me. He should take credit for killing Ravana and getting me relieved. You may not differ from me on this issue. I will narrate a secret incident, which is known only for me and him. That is enough proof for you to cite for having seen me here.
Please convey my salutations to him and tell him that he had converted a grass into Brahmastra to destroy a crow, which was tormenting me for quite a while. He should come here, kill Ravana and take me away within a month from now. Otherwise, I may end my life voluntarily. I wish you return quickly, inform Srirama, Lakshmana and Sugreeva about my current status and they come here to get me relieved from here.” Later, Seetha Devi handed over a special dollar she used to wear on her plait and told Hanumantha that after seeing it, Srirama would immediately believe that he (Hanumantha) had met her. Hanumantha revolved around Seetha Devi, saluted her and promised her that everything will happen very soon as she wished.
Hanumantha then thought that it was required of him, as a clever messenger of Rama, to assess the strength of the enemy’s army. He wanted to attract the wrath of Ravana, induce him to fight by destroying Ashoka Vana. Accordingly, Hanumantha destroyed several trees, towers, lakes and other things in that orchard and stood by the main entrance, waiting for the rival army to execute his plan.
