SUMMARY: In the eight petals of the lotus-heart that is lying in the middle of the tube of this lotus-heart, Lord Sri Hari, the kindest supreme God, exists in the name of Hamsa (Swan), keeps rotating like the wheel of a potter, gets affectionately and compassionately served by the Monitors of Eight Directions called Ashtadikpalakas and fulfills all the desires of human beings.

The Ashtadikpalakas worship Lord Hari named Hamsa, who is in the heart of every being and fulfills the desires of human beings, as declared by none other than Lord Krishna in The Gita:

EshwarA sarvaBhUtAnAm hruddEShe(s)rjuna tiShThati|

BhrAmayan sarvaBhUtAni yantrArUDhAni mAyayA|| (Gita 18/61)

ईश्वरा सर्वभूतानां हृद्दॆशॆsर्जुना तिष्ठति।

भ्रामयन् सर्वभूतानि यन्त्रारूढानि मायया॥(गीता १८/६१)

“KulAla” means potter and hence “kulAlachakra” means the disc or the wheel a potter uses in shaping the earthen urns or pots. The potter’s wheel keeps revolving continuously and similarly, Sri Hari is always roaming about in the lotus-heart of human beings and the “YeNdenepAlakaru”, in which “YeNdene” means eight directions and “Palakaru” means guards or protectors, are worshipping Lord Hari, continuously.

SUMMARY: In his forms of Upendra, Parashurama, Daasharathirama, destroyer of sins Janardana, Samudrashayi (who is sleeping on the cosmic ocean of milk), who is residing in the Milky ocean, Hayavadana, Sri Kapila and Narasihma, Lord Hari makes each of the Ashtadikpalakas (Guardians of Eight Directions) and resides as a Reflection (Bimba) in every being, even as he is eternally blissful.

These forms of Lord Hari are worshipped by Indra, Agni, Yama, Nirruti, Varuna, Vayu, Chandra, Kubera and Shiva and they (Ashtadikpalakas) guard the eight directions, continuously and simultaneously.

Mahabharata and Nrinaya clearly mention that Lord Hari stays in Yamasabhas (Meetings in Yamaloka) in the form of Srirama and Parashurama; him being worshipped by Indra and others in different forms is also mentioned in these texts.
