SUMMARY: “May this sacred Phalgu River, which, despite clearing the sins of several past births, thinks that she has benefited little to those who go to her from long distances, provide me with virtues such as being without false vanity or pride”, Sri Vadiraja appeals to the Goddess of Phalgu River about which there is mention in Mahabharata (Vana Parva).
Kalidasa, renowned Sanskrit poet and playwright, says “TyAgE shlAGhA viparyayaha”. Similarly, Phalgu River is known to clear the sins of several previous births. Yet, she (Phalgu) thinks that clearing the sins of several past births is very little. That is why the river has been named as Phalgu, which means “very little”.
According to another interpretation, Phalgu has very little water. During summer, water can be obtained by digging into the sand. This is perhaps the reason for the river being named “Phalgu”.
With the prayers offered to Phalgu River, Sri Vadirajaru completes his explanation of Gaya Kshetra from where he moves to Mathura. Sri Gurubhyo Namaha|

Angada conveys the message of Rama to Ravana/ಅಂಗದನು ಶ್ರೀರಾಮನ ಸಂದೇಶವನ್ನು ರಾವಣನಿಗೆ ಅರುಹುತ್ತಾನೆ
Initially, Srirama sought the opinions of Sugreeva, Hanuman, Jambavanta, Vibheeshana and others on choosing a person to convey to Ravana that the option of alliance was still open. Ravana could still surrender Seetha Devi and shut the doors of war or battlefield, which would immensely benefit both sides. As suggested by Vibheeshana, Srirama sends Angada as the messenger. Angada easily jumped across the walls of the fort of Lanka, briskly entered the house of Ravana and saw the demon king engaged in a serious discussion with his ministers. As Ravana did not even offer a seat for Angada, he spiraled his tail to a high level and sat on it. The fierce face and the manner in which Angada sat on a higher place than himself, Ravana became very angry and asked:
“Oh Monkey! Who are you? Where have you come from?”
Angada: Have you forgotten Vali? I am his son and my name is Angada. When I still an infant, my father had given you as an object to play with. Do you know about the husband of Seetha you have stealthily brought? With a wink of his eyes, he made the entire sea become stagnant and still. I have as a messenger of such a powerful person whose name is Srirama. I am going to convey to you the message he has sent to you. Srirama is ready to fire series of sharp arrows at you. However, he has given you two options to choose from. I am going to narrate the details now.
“Oh Ravana, you confiscated the Pushpak plane of your elder brother Kubera and troubled him in several ways. You have killed hundreds of Brahmins. You have spoiled innumerable virgins and married women. The sins committed by you are now unlimited and unpardonable. It is time for you to get punished for your sins.
Oh Ravana, certainly, you have become very weak now.  That is why, you stole Seetha from my Ashram, when I was not present. As a token of repentance for the heinous act committed by you, surrender Seetha to me. I will pardon you, once you fall at my feet.
If you are unwilling to surrender, none will force you to do so. Enjoy as much as possible within as short a time as possible because you will soon die. You cannot imagine the swiftness of my arrows in taking away your life. You will soon be securing an eternal sleep.”
The direct speech of Rama to Ravana pronounced by Angada infuriated Ravana to a very great extent. He was trembling with anger. His eyes turned red and his face was burning. He yelled: “This monkey is talking beyond limits. Catch it and kill it.”
A few demons rushed towards Angada, caught him by his two legs tightly and before they could do anything else, Angada sprang up along with all the demons who were holding him tightly. Angada rotated all the demons even as they were clinging to his legs and suddenly shook his legs. All the demons fell flat on the earth, dead. Angada destroyed the house of Ravana and made him distressed before returning to Rama.

SUMMARY (1) : This Sri Narayana took birth as the son of Akooti, daughter of Swayambhu Manu, from Ruchi, a Parajapati, who was distinguished for the manner and dedication with which he did penance. His name was Yajna. Later, he stayed as Devendra and gave birth to several deities, who were all his devotees. This is called Yajnavatara.
SUMMARY (2): Emperor of Gods Sri Narayana took birth as Kapila, a son of Devahooti, daughter of Swayambhu Manu, from Kardapa Prajapati, who had great passion for doing penance and was righteous. In his incarnation as Sage Kapila, Sri Narayana created the Sankhya school of philosophy and by preaching it among the deities, he transformed the deities, gods and goddesses into his devotees.
The Yajna incarnation of Sri Hari propounded EesvAsyOpanishat and Kapila is the propounder of Sankhya Siddhant.
There are two forms of Kapila. One is Vishnukapila and another Rishikapila. Sri Vishnukapila is an incarnation of Sri Hari and proponent of Sankhya Siddhant. Sri Vishnukapila preached his Sankhya Shastra among gods, goddesses and deities. Rishikapila is the originator of Sankhya school of thought (not philosophy), which is against Vedas and Scriptures.

SUMMARY: Beloved of Lakshmi, Sri Hari wears five hundred and thirteen forms in statues and idols. Like the Fire God exists in dried cowdung tablets, Sri Hari exists in all statues and idols in their own shapes and forms and appears to the worshippers in the shapes and forms they prefer to see Him.
Thus, Sri Hari exists in all forms. Depending on one’s imagination, desire and aspiration, he appears to the devotee in his or her own imaginary form. However, it is imperative that while offering prayer, worship or anything as donation, one should imagine the form for which the offerings are made. In Sandhyavandana, there is a chant:
AkAshAt patitam tOyam yaThAgachChati sAgaram sarva dEva namaskAraha KEshavam pratigachChati|
Like the water falling from the sky in the form of rains join the sea, the salutations offered and submitted to any deity reaches Sri Keshava or Sri Hari.

SUMMARY: Pilgrimage to the Vishnupada (feet of Lord Vishnu) at Gaya grants the path to Vaikuntha for ancestors or forefathers. The sesame seeds offered upon the feet of Sri Vishnu in Gaya precipitates the most heinous sins like the sesame seeds; the rice balls (Pinda) offered there punch the representatives of God of Death (Yama) away with their fists and convert those sins into balls; the Akshata (wet rice grains – normally, Akshata is made by adding a drop of ghee and vermilion or turmeric powder for offering them to the Gods and deities. Akshata used in ceremonies is nothing rice grains made with a few drops of water); Chants offered in praise of the Feet of Lord Vishnu in Gaya render humans into worthy of praise by others or they become popular and famous. I sing songs in praise of such feet of Lord Vishnu.
Legend
Once upon a time, Dharmavati, daughter of Dharma Prajapati, was serving the feet of her husband Mareechi. At that time, Lord Brahma came to her house. Lord Brahma was the father-in-law of Dharmavati and therefore she treated the Lord with great reverence and devotion. But, to do so, she had to get up to reach to Lord Brahma, which enraged her husband. Immediately, Mareechi cursed his wife Dharmavati to become a stone. Later, Dharmavati did arduous penance for one thousand years. All the deities and Sri Narayana reached there and presented her with a boon that they (deities and Sri Narayana) will be on that statue of Dharmavati.
A demon named Gaya also indulged in continuous penance, without doing anything else. Impressed with his penance, Sri Narayana appeared in front of Gaya and presented a boon to him that his body would host all types of holy waters (Teertha). However, the demon did not stop the penance due to which the three Lokas were engulfed. Finally, as directed by Lord Narayana, Lord Brahma appeared in front of Gaya and sought his body for a sacrifice. Gaya laid his body flat on earth and upon his body, the sacrifice was performed. After the sacrifice was over, Gaya became alive again. The deities then placed Dharmavati on the body of Gaya. But Gaya was again rising. Now, Sri Narayana incarnated as Sri Gadadhara and stood on the body of Gaya.
The body of that Gaya is as wide as ten miles and is holiest. Therefore, offering rice balls to forefathers anywhere in Gaya reaches the deceased through Pretatmas or the souls of vampire or spirits and they will be relieved from the hell. Besides, the ancestors will have infinite and eternal satisfaction.
Gaya is a major railway station in the Eastern Railway region. Gaya can be reached from Kolkata and from Kashi.
